JOHN PREECE (Tevye) with this his tenth National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof!, has performed in the show over 3,400 times with more than 1,780 of those performances as Tevye. John has been involved in theatre for the past 40 years. Other roles he has enjoyed performing are Ben Franklin in 1776 and The Devil in Damn Yankees. John just completed a successful run as Quixote in The Man of La Mancha at the Candlelight Theatre in Wilmington Delaware. John still remains best known throughout the United States and Canada for his portrayal as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof!. John has also been involved in producing and directing over 35 productions ranging from the classics to musical theatre. He has produced such shows as Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music, and 42nd Street as well as the successful tour of Norman, Is That You? starring Don Knotts. Having spent most of his life in the Baltimore area, John and his wonderful wife Susie now reside in Springfield, IL.
